Just Look!

Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.  Romans 5:2

As I continue to ponder the meaning of the scripture For we walk by faith and not by sight I came to realize that although I have never saw God face to face I do see evidence of him everywhere I look.  I saw Him at the birth of my children---for it was He who breathed life into them.  I see him in the miracles that I have witnessed throughout my life.  I see Him in the hands of my family and friends each time they hold me, hug me, wipe my tears away, and when they pray for me.  I see Him in the trees, the flowers, the clouds, the sunrise and the sunset.  I sense His peace through a warm breeze and through the sound of the ocean wave as it rushes to the specific place God intended for it to go.  I hear His voice speak wisdom, love, and peace to my very soul.  The evidence of our Almighty God is all around us and that my friend strengthens faith.  However, there is one secret to all this---you have to look, you can not just live life going through the motions of each day---you have to set your eyes on Christ and allow him to show you where to look!
For He is God and although I have never stood face to face with Him, I have stood in His presence and that is enough!

By Faith!

For we live by faith, not by sight! II Corinthians 5:7

How many times have I heard that? How many times have I said that? How do I live it?

Today is a day of thanksgiving and I am thankful beyond what words can say.  My life is not perfect, but no matter how bad some things seem I cannot let go of Jesus Christ and knowing his plan is greater than anything I could ever imagine.  Putting all my trust and all my faith in knowing that he has got me and my family in his hands is what I have to do---to me, there is no other choice!  It took me many years and many tears to get to this point, but I have come to know that I can live no other way except for Jesus Christ!  So today I am thankful for many things---my family, my friends, where I live, but mostly I am thankful that God loved me enough to let his only son, Jesus Christ, be crucified so that I may have a chance to live by faith!  How can I not trust the one who died for me so that I may be saved!  Thank you Jesus for your love, your grace, your mercy, and your salvation!
