Glorify Him!
Luke 1:39-56
I can feel Mary’s and Elizabeth’s excitement
through the words of these few verses and it makes me excited to know that it
is my Savior, it is my Father, it is my Jesus that they are talking about. As I read these verses and felt the
excitement I began to think, wait a minute, I should be just excited as they
are. He is the one who takes care of me
just as he took care of them so long ago.
I love the words that Mary begins her song with…. “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.” So I ask myself, has Jesus done any less for
me? No he hasn’t, he is mindful of me
and the state in which I find myself. I
have no doubt that he is and always will be concerned with me and my life, and
so like Mary, my soul does glorify him and my spirit rejoices that he is my God, my
Savior, and my Jesus.
I
can never, ever give Jesus enough praise, enough glory, enough thanks for all
he has done and continues to do for me and my family. I was going to end my post tonight with a
prayer request for my Aunt Barbara, who suffered a heart attack, but my mom
just called to let me know that she had talked to her and she was doing much
better. In fact, she said that she had
gotten ‘her miracle’! So I will end this
post instead with praise to God for a miracle and ask you to join me in
praising God for such a miracle. After
all, His word tells us that God inhabits the praises of his people. So to God be the Glory!
