Praise Him!

Today’s Reading: Matthew 21:12-17

All I can say is Jesus meant business when he cleaned out the temple that day. Just shows you how important the church is to Jesus, but he most certainly wants it used the way it was designed, as he says… “My house will be called a house of prayer”. I have always thought that we should be excited to enter the church, that we should come through the doors overjoyed about being in the house of God. Coming in to praise, worship, pray, and seek refuge from this world in the presence of our Savior. If we are not going for those reasons maybe we need to do a self-check and conduct some cleaning within ourselves.

So sad that the chief priests and teachers were so bothered by Jesus. Instead of joining his ministry they were aggravated with Jesus for performing miracles and to hear the children praising Jesus. I can just picture these children shouting “Hosanna to the son of David”---I am sure these children had great, big smiles upon their faces and were full of joy and excitement while they were praising Jesus. These children knew without a doubt who he was---they had no hesitation to believe him and to praise him for who he was. I understand why Jesus tells us to be more like little children. They just believe without understanding everything and isn’t that what faith actually is?
